Emmys 2012

I know this post was suppose to be a summary of all the actions at the New York, London and Milan Fashion Weeks but we couldn’t help ourselves but take a peek at all the trashy goss emerging from the 2012 Emmys. They’re the people on your television screen every night, keeping the awkward dinner conversations with your in-laws or new housemates to a bare minimum. So there’s a special spot in all of our hearts reserved for television stars.

This year some took a SS12 look straight from the catwalk while some went for the vintage, old Hollywood glamour. Straight from the Zac Posen Resort 2012 is this ink-flowing gown worn by January Jones.

Ginnifer Goodwin was also in a fresh off the catwalk gown by Monique Lhuillier. Somewhat vintage inspired and the fabrics look slightly similar to the armchair I inherited from my nanna.

Another off the catwalk gown was worn by Hayden Panettiere. This Bollywood inspired Marchesa gown makes you want to rub your face in that pretty, pretty, see-through fabric that I’ve yet to figure out what.

Personally I think Sofia Vergara has got the perfect body and that statement can only be accentuated when she’s in a Zuhair Murad blingbling gown. I think I speak for a lot of women when I say “we’re jealous”.

It wouldn’t be red carpet without Lanvin! Claire Danes did not disappoint in this sunflower-yellow gown. You can’t even tell that she’s pregnant! Maybe I’ll get a cheap knockoff to hide my muffin-top.

Now to my absolute favourite – Zooey Deschanel in Reem Acra. She looks like a cute, fluffy cloud. The cutest, fluffiest cloud I’ve ever seen. Hipster princess is the phrase.
